1400 J St, Sacramento, CA 95814
Sacramento, California, August 15, 2018–September 15-16, 2018 WordCamp Sac is coming to the Sacramento Convention Center. This is Sacramento’s largest tech event for the web and the only WordCamp in Northern California. With tickets at only $40 for general admission, it is a steal!
What is WordCamp–WordCamp is an inclusive educational environment for WordPress users of all skill levels to extend their knowledge on website hosting, development, design, blogging, and content creation.
What to expect–This year the event will also offer an expanded 2-day beginner track that will start Saturday with focus on how to use WordPress and Sunday on what to do with a site once it is live. Two mixed tracks of sessions will run Saturday and Sunday for users interested in intermediate and advanced topics. The WordCamp organizing committee is proud of the WordPress community in Northern California. The 2018 theme is “Community”. The conference offers a talented lineup of speakers. As well as opportunities to network and explore new skills.
“One of the things I love about the WordCamp community is meeting different people using WordPress in a variety of ways. There’s always something new to learn from your peers!” said veteran WordCamp speaker Cristina Robinson. She currently works as a UI/UX Designer at Three29 and is a blogger at TheLovelyGeek.com.

Why attend–“If you’re involved in the web and not using WordPress, you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to leverage open source software features.” said Steve Mehallo, founder of the FLOMM! art collective + educational media project built with WordPress.
“WordPress is community-built and there’s no better chance to find out that latest locally. Mix and mingle, eat, greet and impress your clients in ways you haven’t thought of yet.” He added.
The Happiness Bar will be open throughout the event to answer WordPress questions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other WordPress users over a catered lunch on Saturday.
A post-event networking reception will happen Saturday evening. Attendees can relax, unwind, celebrate WordPress, and continue conversations from the day. This event is completely volunteer-run, and could not happen without generous organizers, volunteers and sponsors.
Support and participation are necessary to continue to make this an amazing event each year.
This year WC Sacramento will have special Community Sponsor tickets available for $100. This ticket includes the benefits of the general admissions ticket along with access to the Friday night meet and greet.
